K.D. Moore Community Development, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization established for the purpose of growing a safe and encouraging environment that brings our community together through a comprehensive educational, training, and physical fitness program. Our programs are designed to meet the citizens of the city of Clarkston as well as DeKalb and other surrounding counties at their point of need.
We will provide child care services to accommodate low income families with the same quality of service provided to middle and upper income families. Our projected Pre-K program will be designed to accommodate all students regardless of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
Additionally, we will provide continuing education classes for high school drop-outs and all others in the community with the same or similar need. We will offer ESL (English as a Second Language) to help meet the need of our multi-cultural (most diverse in metro Atlanta) community.
It will be necessary for the directors of our organization to form alliances with federal, state, and local agencies in order to develop a more comprehensive and receive the needed funding to help with the support of these programs. It would be ideal if programs can be offered to citizens at low or no cost to them. The Pre-K programs and other programs will seek funding from the State level as well other government agencies.
Again, our goal is to meet people at their point of need.
